Why pick on the poor? I'm talking about Colorado Medicaid Agency, HCPF (Health Care Policy and Financing). There have been continuous cuts, authorized by our then Governors (Bill Owens, Bill Romer and now...John Hickenlooper. They knowingly realize that Amendment 51 existed and was to end the Waitlists for Persons with Developmental Disabilities failed. It was quietly swept under the rug and the cuts continue. I am fully aware of the recession and failing economy. President Obama has all kinds of committees headed by people associated with the disabled community. If it weren't for that, perhaps the cuts would be deeper, though the cuts continue none the less. I am asking again, why pick on the poor? Does the government think that their natural supports (parents and families) will live forever? These individuals will become wards of the states. Wake Up America!
